Liz Cheney Says She Can Beat Trump Easily In 2024, You Agree?

In the days leading up to the House Republicans’ selection of a new Speaker nominee, former President Trump has been in communication with several contenders for the position.

Among those Trump has engaged with are House Majority Whip Tom Emmer (R-Minn.) and Representatives Kevin Hern (R-Okla.), Pete Sessions (R-Texas), Byron Donalds (R-Fla.), and Mike Johnson (R-La.). These discussions were confirmed by individuals in contact with The Hill, as well as by the candidates themselves in public statements.

However, during a press interaction in New Hampshire on Monday, Trump seemed disinclined to publicly support any one candidate in the crowded field of nine.

“I’m observing a wide range of individuals. But, essentially, I’m endeavoring to remain as uninvolved in that process as I can,” Trump remarked.

Yet, it’s his dialogue with Emmer that has sparked increased curiosity, especially after some of Trump’s supporters expressed disapproval of the House GOP leader’s actions.
