Do You See a Cognitive Decline In Biden?

On Sunday, former President Trump told an audience in Iowa that the federal charges he’s facing could give him leverage against President Biden, should he defeat the current President in the 2024 election. Trump criticized the Justice Department under Biden, accusing it of unfairly targeting him for political reasons, a claim he has often made without evidence.

Drawing a parallel between the Biden administration and the governance of “banana republics,” Trump suggested that the actions of the current administration could set a precedent that would allow him to take similar actions against Biden in the future. The crowd responded with enthusiastic applause.

However, Trump then moderated his statement, cautioning that pursuing such a course would set the nation on a “dangerous and negative trajectory.” He added that something like this has never occurred before in American history.

Trump also mentioned that he could have taken action against Biden during his own term but chose not to. He cited his respect for the presidential office as the reason, despite labeling Biden as “the most inept, the most corrupt, and the worst president the country has ever seen.”
