Former White House Doctor Highlights Biden’s Cognitive Decline as Major National Threat
On President Biden’s 81st birthday, Texas Republican Congressman Ronny Jackson, who previously served as a White House physician, expressed concerns about Biden’s age and cognitive abilities. Jackson, who has worked with three presidents, stated on “Sunday Morning Futures” that the demands of the presidency are intense and he doesn’t believe Biden is capable of meeting them. He emphasized that Biden’s cognitive decline is rapidly progressing and poses a risk to national security.
Jackson, who served under Presidents Bush, Obama, and Trump, has been vocal about Biden’s mental state before, urging him to undergo a cognitive test or withdraw from the 2024 election. He noted a marked decline in Biden’s abilities since his 2020 campaign against Donald Trump, whom Jackson supports for a 2024 rematch.
The congressman also commented on Biden’s decreasing popularity among young voters, citing an NBC News poll showing Trump leading among voters aged 18 to 34. Despite speculation about potential Democratic nominees like California Governor Gavin Newsom or former First Lady Michelle Obama, there’s no clear replacement for Biden yet.
In his conversation, Jackson highlighted various national issues, including border crises, international tensions, and economic challenges. He argued that the U.S. is perceived as weaker by enemies and less trustworthy by allies due to the current leadership, insisting that Biden’s physical and cognitive limitations are hindering effective governance. Jackson urged someone in Biden’s inner circle to address these concerns for the country’s safety and security.
