When directly asked about the possibility of voting for Trump, Cuomo confirmed his openness, citing his history of voting across party lines. He recalled his first vote as a college freshman in 1988, which was for Republican George H.W. Bush. This disclosure highlights Cuomo’s willingness to cross party lines based on the political climate and the candidates presented.
