71% Americans Say Economy Is Bad, You Agree?
Biden’s Approval Rating Takes Historic Nosedive, Sinking to Lowest in 15 Years
In a startling turn of events, a recent ABC News poll has revealed that President Biden’s approval rating has nosedived, hitting the lowest mark for any U.S. president in the past 15 years. The survey, meticulously conducted by Langer Research Associates and fielded by Ipsos Public Affairs through their KnowledgePanel, paints a grim picture for Biden, with only 31% of Americans endorsing his performance. This figure is not only lower than former President Trump’s lowest approval rating of 36% but also dips below the levels seen during George W. Bush’s tenure in the mid-2000s.
The poll’s findings are particularly stark regarding Biden’s handling of immigration, with a mere 18% approval rating – a drastic fall from earlier in the year. This represents the lowest approval for any president on immigration issues in ABC News/Washington Post polls dating back to January 2004.
Economic sentiments are equally bleak, with only 13% of Americans feeling financially better off since Biden assumed office. The survey, conducted from January 4-8, 2024, indicates a troubling scenario: 43% feel less well off, while 41% report no change in their financial status since Biden’s inauguration. This is in stark contrast to the mid-term period of Trump’s presidency, where only 13% felt worse off financially compared to the Obama era.
Furthermore, only 31% of respondents approve of Biden’s economic management, with a significant 56% disapproving. On foreign policy, specifically the handling of the Israel-Hamas conflict, Biden’s approval stands at 26%, with 48% disapproving and a notable 25% withholding any opinion.
