Joe Rogan Turns On Trump
Podcast host Joe Rogan is again questioning the Trump administration’s handling of the war with Iran, saying there appears to be “no clear way” to bring the conflict to an end as concerns grow over the military campaign and America’s long-term strategy.
During a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience with journalist Annie Jacobsen, Rogan agreed with concerns that the conflict could fundamentally reshape the U.S. military and argued the war has no obvious exit strategy.
Rogan said the fighting appears increasingly difficult to sustain, pointing to reports of heavy weapons usage and ongoing attacks against U.S. positions in the Middle East. He also expressed concern that prolonged operations could strain American military resources while exposing additional vulnerabilities.
The podcaster argued that continued military involvement could ultimately make the United States less secure by creating additional enemies and increasing the likelihood of retaliatory attacks against American forces and interests overseas.
The remarks add to a growing list of criticisms Rogan has made about the administration’s approach to Iran. Earlier this year, he questioned the strategic rationale behind the military campaign, saying it did not make sense and wondering whether broader geopolitical interests were driving U.S. involvement.
Rogan has also suggested the conflict conflicts with President Trump’s longstanding campaign promise to avoid new, prolonged foreign wars. He previously said many supporters feel disappointed because Trump repeatedly campaigned on ending “endless wars” rather than becoming involved in new military conflicts.
His comments come as recent polling shows public support for the Iran campaign has weakened. Surveys conducted in recent weeks indicate opposition to continued military action now outweighs support, while President Trump’s approval ratings on handling the conflict have also declined compared to earlier in the year.
Rogan’s criticism carries added attention because he was a prominent supporter of Trump during the 2024 presidential campaign. Trump appeared on Rogan’s podcast shortly before the election, and Rogan publicly endorsed him before voters went to the polls.
Meanwhile, tensions across the Middle East remain high. Diplomatic efforts have continued alongside ongoing military activity, with concerns that attacks involving Iran-backed forces and threats to shipping routes in the Strait of Hormuz could further escalate the conflict and draw additional countries into the crisis.
