Trump Stops Watching Fox News Until Who Is Fired?

President Donald Trump continued his public criticism of Fox News commentator Jessica Tarlov on Tuesday, taking another shot at the panelist during an appearance by text message on the network’s program The Five.

Host Greg Gutfeld told viewers he had received a message from the president and proceeded to read it aloud. Trump specifically directed his comments at Tarlov, telling Gutfeld that she was the worst before challenging her remarks about his administration.

Trump also used the message to defend his record on several major issues, including inflation, gasoline prices and the conflict involving Iran. He insisted that prices were falling quickly, pushing back against criticism of his economic policies.

The exchange followed an earlier outburst in which Trump complained about Tarlov while watching Fox News coverage ahead of the midterm elections. Tarlov, the show’s liberal panelist, has frequently been a target of criticism from the president.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump said he could not tolerate hearing her and attacked her intelligence. He also announced that he was changing the channel until she was no longer on the air, adding that he planned to return later.

His decision to contact the program directly showed that the dispute had not ended after his initial social media comments. Instead, Trump chose to continue the confrontation while the network was covering one of the most consequential election nights of his presidency.

At the time, the president was following election returns from the White House as Republicans faced a difficult fight to retain control of Congress. Democrats ultimately made major gains, turning the election into a significant setback for the Republican Party.

Trump’s repeated criticism of Tarlov also highlighted the tension surrounding political commentary on a network that has remained an important platform for conservative viewers. Her presence on the panel has made her a frequent source of disagreement with Trump and some of his supporters.

The president’s messages brought the personal dispute directly into the network’s live coverage, giving the exchange additional attention during an already difficult night for Republicans.
