Trump Traitor Promises To Disrupt His Presidency
Outgoing Rep. Nancy Mace signaled that her final months in Congress may be among her most outspoken yet, joking on social media that she plans to be “more of a menace than ever” after her recent election defeat.
The South Carolina Republican made the comment while responding to a message from comedian Rob Schneider, who praised Mace and described her as a champion who was under appreciated by voters.
Mace playfully referenced Schneider’s most famous movie role, joking that she never expected a congressional farewell from the star of the comedy film “Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo.”
She then assured supporters that her willingness to challenge the political establishment would not fade anytime soon, suggesting that with her political future already decided, she feels freer than ever to speak her mind.
The remarks came just days after Mace finished fifth in South Carolina’s Republican primary for governor. The race now heads to a runoff between Lt. Gov. Pamela Evette and Attorney General Alan Wilson, both of whom outperformed Mace in the crowded contest.
Following the disappointing result, Mace announced that she plans to leave public office when her current congressional term ends in January 2027 and return to the private sector.
Before entering national politics, Mace built a career in business and media. She founded a public relations company and also helped operate a South Carolina-based news organization before launching her political career.
Reflecting on her time in office, Mace said serving the people of South Carolina has been one of the greatest honors of her life. She emphasized that every vote, investigation, and policy fight she pursued was motivated by what she believed was best for her constituents.
Since arriving in Congress in 2021, Mace has often charted her own path. Early in her first term, she broke with many Republicans by stating that Congress lacked the authority to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.
Over time, however, she became one of the more visible conservative voices in the House, frequently drawing national attention through her positions on cultural and social issues.
At the same time, Mace occasionally challenged leaders within her own party. One of the most notable examples involved her support for efforts to increase transparency surrounding government files connected to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
She was among a small group of House Republicans who backed legislation designed to bring additional Epstein-related records into public view. She also pushed for further congressional oversight related to the case, arguing that accountability should outweigh political considerations.
Mace has said her stance on the issue may have come at a political cost but maintained that standing on principle was more important than protecting her career.
Even as her time in Congress begins to wind down, Mace appears determined to remain active and outspoken. Her latest comments suggest she has little interest in fading quietly from the political spotlight and may continue challenging both allies and opponents during her remaining months in office.
Whether supporters view her as a fighter or critics see her as a provocateur, Mace’s promise to become “more of a menace than ever” indicates she intends to leave Washington on her own terms.
