Chick-fil-A News Rocks Americans

Some Chick-fil-A loyalty program members may have had their personal information exposed following a recent cybersecurity incident, according to the company.

Chick-fil-A said it detected “suspicious login activity” involving certain Chick-fil-A One accounts and launched an investigation after discovering the issue.

In a notification sent to affected customers, the company said it acted quickly to secure impacted accounts, restore access and notify those who may have been affected. Chick-fil-A also apologized for the incident and said it remains committed to safeguarding customer information.

According to the company, the breach affected customers in nine states and Washington, D.C. Those states include Iowa, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Rhode Island and Vermont. Separate reports have also indicated that more than 2,000 customer accounts in Texas may have been impacted.

As part of its response, Chick-fil-A reset passwords for affected accounts and is encouraging customers to create new, strong and unique passwords before logging back in. The company also recommends reviewing account information for any unauthorized changes.

Customers seeking additional information can contact Chick-fil-A’s dedicated support line at (888) 201-5329, available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. EDT.
