Good News: Supreme Court Puts A Stop To Biden’s Anti-Gun Wishes

Should police be able to come into your home to take your guns without a warrant? What if your wife or someone else thinks you’re being “mentally unstable” These are the questions that the Supreme Court has been tasked with.

Back in 2015, a man named Edward Caniglia got into an argument with his wife. After several hours, he became fed up with the fighting. He went and got an unloaded gun and told her “just shoot me and get me out of my misery.”

His wife took it seriously and informed the police, who then came and took his guns. They were “concerned” that he may hurt himself. That seems like an easy way to take away anyone’s guns for their own “safety.”

Back in March, the Biden Administration got involved. They argued that it was a perfectly reasonable thing to do. If you don’t know what the constitution says, that is.

The U.S. Supreme Court on Wednesday will hear oral argument in Caniglia v. Strom, a case that could have sweeping consequences for policing, due process, and mental health, with the Biden Administration and attorneys general from nine states urging the High Court to uphold warrantless gun confiscation

Thankfully, the Court disagreed. They upheld our Constitution and made the right call:

The Supreme Court ruled Monday that warrantless gun confiscation from Americans’ homes is unconstitutional, voting unanimously on the side of a Rhode Island man whose firearms were taken by law enforcement without a warrant after his wife expressed concerns that he might hurt himself.

According to Caniglia v Strom, a lower court had previously determined that police confiscating the guns without a warrant fell under the Fourth Amendment’s “community caretaking” exception, but a 9-0 vote from the nation’s top court struck down that ruling.

I figured the liberals are surely going to be very angry at this ruling. They hate gun rights, and they love it when the government acts like an overprotective parent.

So, I went on NPR’s Twitter and immediately found them whining about it.

Yeah, let’s just encourage people to steal guns! If the government won’t take them away for us, we’ll just do it! See how well that works out for you guys.

Another victory for gun rights, another day of crying democrats.
