In a recent interview with Fox News, Barr expressed his belief that the current administration under President Joe Biden poses a more significant threat to American democracy than Trump’s presidency.

At 73 years old, Barr articulated his concerns, stating, “The Biden administration is in fact the greater threat to democracy.” He criticized the administration for what he perceives as authoritarian tendencies linked to the progressive movement. Barr accused the Biden administration of trying to suppress opposition and freedom of speech, describing them as “a heavy-handed bunch of thugs.”

This endorsement comes after a notably rocky conclusion to Barr’s tenure under Trump, primarily due to their diverging views on the legitimacy of the election results. Despite being a vocal critic of Trump, particularly regarding his conduct post-election, Barr feels compelled to support him in the upcoming election.

Barr expressed dissatisfaction with the available choices in the forthcoming election but stressed the necessity of making a decision. “I’m not happy with the choice,” he admitted. “I think it’s a terrible choice for the country. But it is a choice. At the end of the day, we have to select between two individuals.”

In his endorsement, Barr emphasized that his support for Trump is based on policy alignment rather than personal admiration. He approved of Trump’s policies during his presidency but had significant issues with his behavior following the election.
