🗳️ Biden Sounds Alarm on Democracy, Targets Trump and GOP at Fundraiser
President Biden didn’t hold back during a recent campaign fundraiser in Washington, D.C., emphasizing the high stakes of the 2024 election and taking aim at his probable rival, former President Trump.
“Let’s be clear, our democracy hangs in the balance in 2024,” Biden asserted. “Just listen to the rhetoric coming from the MAGA camp. Pay attention to the words they’re using, and who they claim to represent.”
He went on to say, “This is precisely why Kamala and I are throwing our hats in the ring again. We’ve made strides, but the fight to safeguard our democracy is far from over. Especially when the same individual who once said there were ‘very fine people on both sides’ in Charlottesville, praised Hezbollah as ‘very smart,’ and even made light of threats against Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s spouse, is in the running.”
Biden added, “There’s a laundry list of reasons why Donald Trump should never return to the Oval Office.”
As the 2024 presidential election looms, with polls indicating a neck-and-neck race between Biden and Trump, the President is ramping up his criticisms of his likely opponent.
Additionally, Biden reiterated his condemnation of political violence, referencing the January 6, 2021, Capitol attack. He emphasized that both he and Vice President Harris are sending an “unequivocal, resounding message that political violence has no place in America, now or ever.”
