Is The Obama Judge Wrong To Insult Trump?

Trump Criticizes Iowa Governor’s Alleged Betrayal Over Rumored DeSantis Backing

Ex-President Trump lashed out at Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds (R) on Sunday, branding her as “disloyal” for her purported plan to endorse his Republican adversary, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

In a fiery Truth Social update, Trump predicted that Reynolds’s anticipated declaration of support for DeSantis at a forthcoming rally would spell doom for her political aspirations, claiming that the “MAGA” movement would withdraw its backing for her permanently.

“Should Kim Reynolds of Iowa choose to endorse Ron DeSanctimonious, who’s floundering in the polls both in Iowa and across the nation, it will signify the end of her political journey. MAGA will withdraw its support for her, just as it will for DeSanctimonious,” he posted. “Witnessing two exceedingly disloyal individuals unite is quite the spectacle. They can now pledge loyalty to one another, as they’ve become pariahs to everyone else!!!”

Sources close to the situation disclosed to The Associated Press that Reynolds is set to announce her support for DeSantis at an event in Des Moines, despite earlier signals that she would stay impartial during the Republican primary season.

This move would mark a departure from the usual stance of Iowa’s governor, who traditionally does not endorse any candidates before the state’s influential caucuses, which are the inaugural event in the Republican nomination calendar.

Previously, Trump had reproached Reynolds for what he perceived as a lack of neutrality and an inclination towards DeSantis.

“I paved the way for Kim Reynolds to become Governor, and when she was trailing, I gave her my endorsement, held large rallies, and she emerged victorious,” Trump recounted in a July post on Truth Social. “Now, she’s opting to stay ‘NEUTRAL.’ Consequently, I no longer extend her invitations to events! DeSanctus is plummeting, down 45 points!”
