Joe Rogan Betrays Trump

Podcast host Joe Rogan is distancing himself from President Trump on the issue of Israel’s military campaign in Gaza, arguing that history will ultimately judge Israel’s actions as genocide.

During a recent episode of his podcast with actor Tim Robbins, Rogan said he believes that within the next two decades, the view that genocide occurred in Gaza will become widely accepted.

International scrutiny of Israel has intensified over the conflict. In 2024, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant over allegations of war crimes and crimes against humanity. A United Nations commission later concluded that Israel had committed genocidal acts in Gaza, citing statements from Israeli officials and military actions during the conflict.

Rogan said that even after considering Hamas’ Oct. 7, 2023, attack on Israel—which killed about 1,200 people and resulted in more than 250 hostages being taken—he could not understand continued support for Israel’s military campaign.

“How could anybody defend that?” Rogan said. “I don’t even know how many people are dead. You have a complete wipeout of a city, like 90% of Gaza is gone.”

Health officials in Gaza have reported that more than 75,000 people have been killed since the war began, though those figures have been disputed by some officials and independent analysts.

Rogan has generally been supportive of Trump and has hosted several prominent administration allies on his podcast, including Vice President JD Vance. However, he has occasionally broken with the administration on foreign policy issues, particularly regarding the war in the Middle East.

During the discussion, Robbins also criticized what he described as the treatment of actor Susan Sarandon after she publicly criticized Israel. According to Robbins, Sarandon lost representation and has struggled to find acting work following her remarks.

Robbins argued that the reaction was intended to discourage others from speaking out, saying, “I think the point of it is to make a show of it and to say, ‘See, we could do that to her, so we could do it to you, so shut the f*** up.'”
