Was Kamala Harris Biden’s Worst Decision Ever?

Trump Slams Romney As ‘Total Loser’

Former President Trump criticized Utah Senator Mitt Romney (R) and endorsed Trent Staggs as his potential successor in a recent Truth Social post.

“100% MAGA, Trent Staggs is running to take over the seat of Mitt Romney, who is a total loser, as the next Senator from the great state of Utah,” Trump declared.

Trump praised Staggs for his accomplishments as the Mayor of Riverton, noting his success as an entrepreneur and his expertise in job creation, inflation control, economic growth, and border security. “As your next Senator, Trent will champion American energy, support our military and veterans, and defend our constantly attacked Second Amendment. Trent Staggs has my complete and total endorsement—he will be an excellent Senator and will never disappoint you!” Trump’s endorsement read.

Romney, who often opposes Trump, has announced his retirement from the Senate at the end of his term in September, expressing a desire for younger leadership to step forward.

“After 25 years of various public service roles, I will be in my mid-eighties at the end of another term. It’s time for a new generation of leaders to take over—leaders who will have to live with the decisions they make,” Romney stated.

Staggs, the current mayor of Riverton, Utah, was the first of several Republicans to declare his candidacy for Romney’s Senate seat earlier in May. He has previously described Romney as a “Massachusetts millionaire.”

Following Trump’s endorsement, Staggs expressed his gratitude on the social platform X, saying, “I’m honored to have the endorsement of Donald Trump!”
