Is Trump The Best Choice For President of USA?

Vice President Kamala Harris, having replaced President Joe Biden as the Democratic presidential nominee, has experienced a significant surge in the polls, boosting Democratic hopes of capturing both Georgia and North Carolina for the first time since former President Jimmy Carter’s victory in 1976, according to Bloomberg News.

Recent polls, including the Bloomberg News/Morning Consult poll, show Harris slightly ahead of former President Donald Trump in both states, with a margin of error of 2 percentage points. CNN’s latest figures indicate a near tie in Georgia, with Harris leading 48% to Trump’s 47%.

The Cook Political Report recently shifted North Carolina from “lean Republican” to “toss-up.” Further, an East Carolina University poll suggests Trump holds a narrow lead over Harris in North Carolina.

Political analyst Nate Silver’s Voter Power Index suggests significant electoral implications: a Harris win in North Carolina could virtually secure her victory in the election, while a Trump win there significantly boosts his chances.

Historically, North Carolina last favored a Democrat in 2008 with Barack Obama, while Biden’s narrow victory in Georgia in 2020 marked the first Democratic win there since Bill Clinton in 1992.

Recent shifts show Harris making considerable gains among key voter demographics in both states, with notable improvements among women, young voters, and seniors. Additionally, Harris now commands a greater proportion of Black voters than Biden did.

Despite these positive trends for Harris, she still trails Trump by single digits on economic issues in both states—a narrower gap compared to Biden’s performance prior to ending his campaign. The Trump campaign attributes Harris’s poll rise to a temporary boost from the Democratic National Convention.
