Left-Wing Media Rewriting History – They’ve Gone Full 1984
Back in early 2020, right when COVID-19 became the hot topic, several people came forward with a compelling theory. Right in Wuhan, China, there is a lab where they do work with deadly viruses. It made sense to wonder if the lab had anything to do with the novel coronavirus.
The media went crazy trying to shut down the idea. They called it “debunked” despite no investigation being done. Users who posted the idea to social media founder themselves censored or possibly banned. The whole thing was branded a “crazy conspiracy theory.”
That is, until recently when the media decided the “crazy theory” might actually have some merit to it.
How did the left wing sites react? Did they apologize for jumping to conclusions? Did they retract their articles? Nope. They went full 1984.
In the novel 1984, the main character has a job with the Ministry of Truth. This part of the government has the task of editing past news articles, books, all media, to make sure it follows the current narrative. It looks exactly what we’re seeing happen in real-time here.
The talking points switch up so quickly that they’re not going to even bother pretending to change their minds now. They’ll just deny that they ever said it all.
