Liberal “Fact Check” Website Forced to Admit Truth About COVID-19

PolitiFact is a liberal “fact” site that sides with Dems on nearly every issue. They were recently forced to retract a “fact-check” they made against Tucker Carlson.

The report in question denied that COVID-19 could have been created in a lab in Wuhan, China. On his show, Carlson had interviewed a Hong Kong virologist who claimed to have evidence of it’s unnatural origins.

Here’s what they originally said about the claim:

The genetic structure of the novel coronavirus, which has been shared by thousands of scientists worldwide, rules out the possibility that it was manipulated in a lab. Public health authorities have repeatedly said the virus was not created in a lab. Scientists believe the coronavirus originated in bats before jumping to humans. Experts have publicly rebuked Yan’s paper, and it’s unclear whether it was peer reviewed.

The claim is inaccurate and ridiculous. We rate it Pants on Fire!

As you can see, PolitiFact had called him a “pants-on-fire” liar. Now? As the evidence continues to pile up, they’ve been forced to admit that it actually may have been created in a lab.

When this fact-check was first published in September 2020, PolitiFact’s sources included researchers who asserted the SARS-CoV-2 virus could not have been manipulated. That assertion is now more widely disputed. For that reason, we are removing this fact-check from our database pending a more thorough review.

So the “science” isn’t completely right all the time, is it? Why should we trust it against our common sense?

Early in 2020, online researchers had connected the virus to the lab in Wuhan. With all the weirdness with the World Health Organization, Fauci and China, it became obvious that something was going on.

Users on social media were silenced or banned just for mentioning the connection. Including the virologist that Tucker Carlson interviewed.

Twitter has suspended the account of a Chinese virologist who has claimed that COVID-19 was manufactured in a laboratory.

Dr. Li-Meng Yan, a former researcher at the Hong Kong School of Public Health, went dark on the platform after she accused China of covering up evidence that the deadly virus came from a lab in Wuhan.

“They don’t want the people to know this truth. Also, that’s why I got suspended, I got suppression [and] I am the target that China Communist Part wants to [sic] disappear,” she told Fox News host Tucker Carlson on Tuesday.

Nearly a year later, that “conspiracy” is being taken seriously. Imagine if they actually investigated things instead of silencing those they disagree with.
