SCARY: Chinese Communist Makes Demand – Could This Mean WW3?

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP), like all communist groups, is a propaganda machine. There’s no question about that. What is scary, though, is some of the things that the CCP calls for and the fact that the CCP actually could be able to back up some of their threats.

Like all communists, the CCP claims to stand for workers rights while, in reality, oppressing and, effectively, enslaving those workers. The CCP calls for environmental regulations on Western countries through the Paris Climate Agreement while sidestepping all of those regulations until the future (which they may never end up meeting).

But, now, the CCP propaganda machine has called for an action that could, quite literally, lead to World War III. Daniel Y. Teng writes,

Chinese Communist Party (CCP) propaganda newspaper The Global Times has called for Beijing to plan missile strikes targeting Australia if it were to join the United States in aiding Taiwan against an attack.

The message—which appeared in an op-ed published by The Global Times’ Chief Editor Hu Xijin—comes after the CCP “indefinitely suspended” high-level economic talks with Australia on May 6.

“Given that Australian hawks keep hyping or hinting that Australia will assist the U.S. military and participate in war once a military conflict breaks out in the Taiwan Strait, and the Australian media outlets have been actively promoting the sentiment,” Hu wrote. “I suggest China make a plan to impose retaliatory punishment against Australia once it militarily interferes in the cross-Strait situation.

“The plan should include long-range strikes on the military facilities and relevant key facilities on Australian soil if it really sends its troops to China’s offshore areas and combats against the People’s Liberation Army.

“China has a strong production capability, including producing additional long-range missiles with conventional warheads that target military objectives in Australia when the situation becomes highly tense.”

This is scary.

Those who don’t know history may not know that World War I began precisely because of reciprocal aid treaties between different nations. Essentially, what happened is that two countries decided to go to war. Because of these treaties, countries that had treaties with each of the original two countries were drawn into the war until all of Europe and portions of the rest of the world were also pulled into the conflict.

If this were North Korea making this call for missile strikes, I’d be less concerned, but the CCP actually has a working military and technology with which to wage war.

If China actually fires missiles at Australia, how many other countries, like the U.S. will be drawn into that conflict? I don’t know the answer to that, but it seems like a scary possibility that actually could happen.
