Liberal US Health Care Union Fighting This Gov’t Mandate

It looks like a growing number of Americans are for health freedom.

The president of the largest union of health care workers in the U. S. says his group will fight against firms who require Covid-19 vaccines for employees.

George Gresham, president of 1199SEIU United Healthcare Workers East said hospital systems don’t have the right to make employees take vaccines. The New York-based union also represents hundreds of thousands of nurses and caregivers in five other eastern states.

Earlier in June, NewYork–Presbyterian Hospital required that its employees take the Covid-19 vaccine. Just like other hospital systems across the United States have done. Gresham told news website Gothamist:

“Whether there is a legal challenge that we can make, or whether it’s just a pure organizational challenge that we can make, we are not going to just give in.”

The union president said that he’s vaccinated against the virus. And he’s encouraged union members to take the vaccine as well. However, he told the website that workers “have the right to make their decision about their own health.” Gresham met with NewYork-Presbyterian CEO Steve Corwin to discuss some employees’ concern about this mandate.

This health care group isn’t the only one who doesn’t like this policy. The New York State Nurses Association (NYSNA) released a statement that opposed vaccine mandates. The NYSNA said in a post on its website:

“NYSNA strongly opposes the mandatory vaccination of health care providers for COVID-19 as a condition of employment or as a state or federal mandate.”

Like I’ve said before: If you want to take the vaccine, great. If you don’t, that’s great, too. But no one should be forced to take it in order to earn a living.

This massive PR campaign for the Covid-19 vaccines makes me ask this question: Is there a larger agenda behind Big Media, Big Government and Big Pharma wanting us to take the Jab?
