Biden Allows Passport Applicants To Choose This Option

Just when you think the Biden Administration couldn’t get any more “woke,” they surprise us. And say: “Hold my organic, non-GMO soy latte.”

The State Department will allow U.S. passport applicants to select their own gender. Even if it doesn’t match the sex on their government documents, such as a birth certificate or driver’s license.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken is set to announce the change this week, according to the Washington Examiner. This fulfills a campaign promise by President Joe Biden to make the federal government more pro-transgender.

The advisory will include information for individuals on a “new passport with a different gender than the one they have on their current passport.” This will help them “submit a new application and select their preferred gender marker.”

The updated policy also states the federal government will start the process to update its procedures for the issuance of U.S. passports. This also includes Consular Reports of Birth Abroad (CRBAs). And this is done with the goal to offer “… a gender marker for non-binary, intersex, and gender non-conforming persons.”

GOP officials slammed both the policy and the State Department for “jumping on the culture war train.”

There was already a passport processing backlog caused by the pandemic. Now this new policy will make the delay to process passports even longer.
